March-May 2016: Montenegro to the UK

Hi guys.

I've got two months off work and have a flight booked to Podgorica, Montenegro on 13th March. I'm planning to cycle up the coast of Croatia, through Slovenia/ Hungary/ Austria/ Germany/ France then home back to London! I'd really like to share some of the journey with some interesting people. Im a 29 year old female from Manchester. I love to socialise, like a drink and love food and cycling (obviously)! I'm happy in my own company, but two months alone may drive me crazy!

Get in touch if you have similar trips and would like to share some of the journey!

Shell :)

I will be passing Austria actually! That's very kind of you. I'm travelling from Vienna through Linz and then through to Salzburg. Any suggestions along the way?

Hello

Hello
I live 60 km from Salzburg away. You can go the danube cycle path till Passau and after you follow the Inn cycle path till the river Salzach and follow the Salzach river till Salzburg.I live 5 km away from Inn cycle path. The landscape between Linz and Passau is very nice this you will pass when you go from Linz to Passau https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schl%C3%B6gener_Schlinge
https://www.google.at/search?q=schl%C3%B6gener+schlinge&biw=1680&bih=913&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwj0ztuutO_KAhXoQZoKHahsDdUQsAQIMg&dpr=1
And if you are in Schlögel you can make a small hike about 30 minutes and you can see the Schlögener Schlinge from above.
and when you pass my place we can go hiking if you want but all depend if i have time(no work)
best wishes

Hi Michelle!

Hi Michelle!

I'm also planning a short tour in few days, from Podgorica to Dubrovnik (maybe to Knin,Croatia) , so we could ride together some miles :).

Montenegro

That would be great! I leave on 13th, with a night booked in Dubrovnik on 15th. What are your plans?

WS Member WS Member's picture
Well, we could definitely

Well, we could definitely ride together to Dubrovnik. I might continue to Knin, but it is too early to say..
Do you have anything else booked before Dubrovnik?

WS Member WS Member's picture
Yay

I don't have anything booked apart from the night in Dubrovnik on 15th. so other than wanting to see Sveti Stevan and bay of kotor I'm open to suggestions. I just have to be in split by 21st, so plenty of time. I fly from London to Podgorica on 13th, landing around midday. Where are you starting in Podgorica?

Bike in croatia

Do you happen to know anyone in Croatia who would like to loan a bike or sell one cheap? My friend is coming out for a week on 21st into split.

Vienna

Thanks a lot Jakob, I may take you up on that offer. Can I let you know my plans closer to the time?

WS Member WS Member's picture
Sure, I don´t plan any

Sure, I don´t plan any weekend races until half of April, so I should be in Vienna. During working days I am definitely here, just wont be able to accompany you for couple of kilometers.
Happy climbing and remember, bad day on bike is better than good day at work. ;-)

Hi! I have one week off work 8-16.04. and was thinking about a cycling trip but I still don't have any companions. Where are you planning to be in this period? Maybe I could join you for a week?
