Hey all,
The US-Canada border opens August 9, and I am hoping to take a trip up into Alberta, CA to visit Banff and possibly Jasper. There is an Adventure Cycling Association route called "Great Parks North" that goes directly there. My preference would be a self-supported ride, mostly camping, but I love to use warmshowers whenever possible too. Occasional motels are fine too. Typically I ride 40-70 miles a day.
I'm thinking to start from Glacier NP, just south of the Canadian border, as early as Aug 9, but I can be flexible on start time and place.
I'd love to have a companion to camp with and help navigate bear country along the way. I'm a male in his mid thirties, for whatever that's worth. Drop me a note if you're interested!
