Does anyone contact a WS host just to meet, not to stay?

Hi, I have been a longtime WS host and used the sight successfully on many tours. Our last tour pre-Covid was in Europe along the Danube. Now we are looking into cycling the Rhine. What we love about WS is the people we meet, it is not about saving money for us (at least not anymore). Meeting locals along the way have really enhanced our experiences and having the option of finding a WS host with kids when we were touring with a kid was awesome.
As I start preparing for a tour along the Rhine this summer, I realize I would just like to meet folks, not necessary take your couch or camp in your yard. Has anyone been contacted on WS with a dinner invite (let us take you to a restaurant and hear about your place in the world)? Are there more people who would do this, or would this be something to add to our profiles (willing to share a meal/local advice, but cannot host overnight)?

Why not?

First I would say: WS is a community and not a booking portal - So it's obvious a good place to share more then just your living room. I used it to ask for lokal information, get in contact with other families or share experiences. Your idea sounds more like a project with small events along the way, right? We don't live along the Rhine, but feel free to contact us for any idea.

In 2019 I stayed with a few warm showers folks and we still text and say hello. always great conversation, sharing stories and I love learning from them.
