Cycle touring SE Asia during Corona virus

Currently in Vietnam and there is a big fear of foreign tourists, especially in the more rural areas. Have been turned away by hotels and have been stopped in the street by military police half way through a riding day for 45 min of questioning and checking our temperatures. We have heard from other cyclists they have been turned away by restaurants and have had local people covering their mouths and waving them away as they cycle through villages. Anyone else in SE asia? Or other parts of the world? Would love to hear how it is out there for other cycle tourists as we are ready to book a flight and try again somewhere else!

It's tough being a traveler these days. All kinds of border stations are closing in Europe right now. But here in Greece people don't seem to be too afraid of travellers.
